What to Expect
Sunday Services
We gather for worship on Sundays at 4:00 PM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, located at 1401 Oak Avenue, within walking distance of Northwestern University. There is an entrance on Oak Avenue as well as two entrances (including an accessible entrance) on Greenwood Street. You can also join via livestream on our YouTube channel.
Our services last about 75 minutes. We worship God in a variety of ways: through singing, giving, Scripture readings, prayer, preaching, communion, testimonies, and fellowship. We preach the Word in an expository, gospel-centered manner, and we typically preach straight through books of the Bible. We practice communion weekly in remembrance of Christ.
